How to open a business bank account for IP

Comparing the main Russian banks for an IP streamer and the algorithm to open an account in one day - online, no office visit.

15 minBeginnerUpdated June 24, 2026

What you'll need

  • Registered IP (EGRIP entry sheet)
  • Russian internal passport
  • Smartphone for SMS / push confirmation

Why you need a business account

Without an RS (settlement account) you cannot accept YooKassa payouts as an IP (the partner bank requires a dedicated legal-entity/IP account). Using a personal card is non-compliant for commercial activity.
1

Compare the tariffs

Top-5 banks for an IP streamer (current as of 2026):

BankOpening fee"0" tariffFree payout to personal card
T-Bankfreeyesup to 400k/mo 0%
Tochkafreeyesup to 500k/mo 0%
Sberfreeyesup to 150k/mo 0%
Alfafreeyesup to 300k/mo 0%
VTBfreeyesup to 200k/mo 0%
For a streamer turning over 200-400k RUB/month the "0" tariff (free servicing + limited payments) is optimal. T-Bank and Tochka usually win on UX and support.
2

Submit an online application

On the bank's site - Open IP account. Enter your INN (the bank pulls EGRIP data automatically), phone, email.

3

Wait for a call / courier

The bank contacts you within 24h. Onboarding paths:

  • **Courier** (T-Bank, Tochka, Alfa) - comes with documents to sign
  • **Video verification** (Tochka) - 15-minute video call
  • **Office visit** (Sber, VTB) - if you have a convenient branch
4

Sign the contract

Standard package: cash-settlement servicing contract, signature sample card, online-banking enrollment form. Read the tariffs carefully - confirm you picked the "0" tariff if you expected free servicing.

5

Activate the account

The account is live within an hour of signing. You receive a requisites statement by email and in the bank app: account number, BIC, correspondent account, bank INN and KPP. Needed for YooKassa.

6

Get the business card

A card (physical or virtual) tied to the IP account - convenient for operating expenses. Cash withdrawals cost more than on a personal card. Available right after account activation.

On paying yourself

Transferring funds from the IP account to your personal card is legal and counts as "withdrawal of IP funds for personal needs". Not taxed (USN is paid on incoming to the IP account). Don't exceed the bank's free limit - beyond that 1-2% commission kicks in.
