How to register a sole proprietor (IP) online via FTS and Gosklyuch

Register an IP without visiting the tax office and without paying the state fee. The qualified electronic signature is issued in the Gosklyuch app - you need a biometric passport.

What you get

IP status - registration in the federal sole-proprietor registry (EGRIP) within 3 business days, no tax office visit, no state fee. The same flow issues your qualified electronic signature and lets you open a bank account at a partner bank.

Choose your tax regime

Typical fits for a streamer:

NPD (self-employed IP) - 4/6%, capped at 2.4M RUB. If income is below the cap, stay a plain self-employed (no IP needed).
USN 6% "Income" - after exceeding the NPD cap, no need to track expenses.
USN 15% "Income minus expenses" - if you have documented expenses (gear, services).

The USN application must be submitted together with IP registration or within 30 days. Otherwise you fall onto OSNO - VAT, profit tax, quarterly reporting. Bad for a streamer.

Pick OKVED activity codes

Typical for streamers and content creators:

62.09 - IT activity
73.11 - advertising agencies
90.03 - artistic creation
93.29.9 - other entertainment activities

The first code is primary, the rest are secondary. Adding or removing later is free.

Install Gosklyuch and issue your UKEP

Gosklyuch is the Ministry of Digital Development app for issuing a qualified electronic signature (UKEP). Sign in via Gosuslugi, tap your biometric passport against the phone via NFC - the signature is ready in 10-15 minutes.

No biometric passport?

Then you'll need to issue the UKEP at an accredited FTS centre - offline, with your internal passport. The list of centres is on the tax service site. A token costs 1500-3000 RUB.

Submit the application on the FTS site

Open the "Government online business registration" service on the FTS site. Sign in via Gosuslugi.

Fill out the form: name, passport details, registered address, the OKVED codes you chose. Attach the USN application if you're picking the simplified regime.

Sign the package in Gosklyuch

Once filled, the package shows up in Gosklyuch. Open it, review the documents, tap Sign. The UKEP is applied automatically.

Receive the result

Within 3 business days an email arrives at the address from your Gosuslugi account, containing: EGRIP registration sheetand tax registration notice. Your INN stays the same (if you already had one).
