The main limits

YooKassa sets three types of limits: per transaction, per day, per month. Sizes depend on status (self-employed / IP / legal entity) and verification level.

Single paymentup to 60,000 RUBup to 600,000 RUB
Per day (incoming)200,000 RUB5,000,000 RUB
Per month (turnover)2.4M RUB (NPD cap)per tariff
Per year2.4M RUB (NPD cap)450M RUB (USN cap)

If a donation exceeds the per-payment limit

YooKassa rejects a payment over 60,000 RUB (self-employed) or 600,000 RUB (IP). The donor sees an error on the payment page. Fixes:

  • Self-employed - move to IP (see IP registration)
  • IP - request a limit increase from YooKassa support (with justification)
  • Alternative - crypto donations have no per-payment cap

If you approach the NPD cap

When the yearly turnover approaches 2.4M RUB - re-register as IP in advance. Dropping self-employed and registering IP are separate steps:

  • Register IP via Gosklyuch
  • On that IP, switch to USN 6% (application is filed with the registration)
  • In YooKassa - change receiver type via support (needs a new contract)
If you exceed without re-registering, NPD drops automatically and the YooKassa shop **immediately stops accepting payments**. Donations will fail until you complete the IP setup.

Average-ticket limits

If your donations are usually small (30-300 RUB) and suddenly a big one arrives (50,000 RUB) - YooKassa compliance might ask for docs explaining the operation. Not a block, just a request:

  • Screenshot of your chat with the donor (if you know them)
  • Link to the stream recording where the donation arrived
  • Description of the context
4

Requesting a limit raise

For IP, limits can be raised. In the YooKassa dashboard → Support → New request → Limit increase. Attach:

  • Bank statement for the last 3 months
  • USN declaration for the previous year (if any)
  • Justification - how much and why

Review takes 3-7 days.

Tip for big donations

Add crypto donations as a complement - there's no per-payment cap and large amounts (50-500k RUB) pass without extra questions. See the Crypto category guides (coming soon).
