Registering a YooKassa shop as self-employed

Creating a YooKassa shop tied to your self-employed INN. The 'No website' option works for accepting donations via EchoTip.

What you'll need

  • Active self-employed (NPD) status
  • INN (12 digits)
  • KND 1122035 registration certificate
  • Russian internal passport

Why a YooKassa shop

YooKassa is the official payment aggregator from Yandex. Accepts bank cards, SBP, Tinkoff Pay, SberPay, wallets. Funds land in your self-employed account in 1-2 business days. The fee is 3.5% for self-employed.

Open registration at yookassa.ru

Go to the registration page. Enter your phone number - an SMS code arrives.

Pick the Self-employed status

On the Receiver type step pick Self-employed. Critical - this option triggers automatic receipt creation in Moy Nalog on every payment.

Type picker: legal entity / IP / self-employed

If you pick legal entity or IP, you can't roll back - you'll have to create a new shop with a different phone number.

Enter your INN

Type your INN (12 digits for self-employed). YooKassa queries the tax service - pulls your full name and verifies the status is active. Takes a few seconds.

Fill in activity details

On the Shop page enter:

  • **Shop name** - e.g. "EchoTip - your nickname"
  • **Website URL** - pick **No website**. EchoTip works via a unique donor link, no domain required
  • **Category** - "Entertainment services" or "Digital content"
  • **Description** - "Accepting voluntary donations from stream viewers"

Upload your passport and NPD certificate

Attach:

  • Scan or photo of the passport photo page
  • **KND 1122035** certificate from Moy Nalog (Other → Certificates)

Files - PDF or JPG, up to 20 MB.

Submit for review

Hit Submit. The application goes to compliance. Review takes 1-2 business days, sometimes faster.

Receive your dashboard access

On approval, a sign-in link arrives by email. Your shop gets:

  • **Shop ID** - 6-digit shop number
  • **Test shop** active immediately. Live payments require a separate activation request

If your application is rejected

Most common reasons: blurry passport photo, stale NPD certificate (it must be fresh, no older than a month), wrong activity category. Fix guide:What to do if rejected.
